The urethra is the tube that urine flows out of from your bladder. If you have trouble passing urine then it could be due to a blockage in your urethra, called a stricture. As well as trouble passing urine a stricture can cause;
- Spraying of urine or a double stream may occur.
- Dribbling of urine for a while after going to the toilet to pass urine.
- Frequency sometimes occurs (needing to pass urine more often than normal).
- Urine infections.
- You may have a reduced force of ejaculation.
- Sometimes, pain on passing urine
To treat a stricture, thin rods of increasing thickness are gently inserted to gradually dilate the narrowed stricture. The aim is to gradually stretch and widen the stricture without causing additional scarring. However, a stricture often tends gradually to narrow again after each dilation. Therefore, a repeat dilation is commonly needed every so often when symptoms recur.

I am completley new to sounding. I have an enlarged prostate and I needed something to try and help my condition. When I researched this idea, I was not sure of what to expect but I figured it was worth a try for the price. I can say that I feel alot better since I have used these dialtors. It does take some getting used to but if you use enough lube and let gravity assist it does become easier. I have only used them 4 times so far but I have got pretty immediate results. I would recommend these sounding dialtors highly.

There have been great....I am new to sounding and did not know this was such an awesome experience! I recommend using the 2nd or 3rd smallest to start and to let the sound go down under its own weight. This will keep from causing any damage.

I only decided to write a review on this simply because I didn’t see any for what I needed when purchasing. Albeit, it’s not the most popular of topics! When you’ve had severe hemorrhoid surgery & then told you must dilate your sphincter (after you get over the shock) these are the tools my Dr. recommended. With all that being said, I saw a lot of reviews for vaginal dilation or sex toys and couldn’t find any information for adult dilation. Even on google, it was all for babies. SO...if you are told to dilate rectally these will do the trick. Starting from the smallest working up to the largest!
After years of using improvised sounds to experiment, using a proper tool is incredible. I wish they were just a bit longer as they don't consistently get to where I want them, but otherwise they are very good!
This was my first experience in sounding, and it was fantastic. The Hegar sound I used, was a 6mm, and it proved to be the perfect size and weight for the first time. I was mesmerized as I watched it slowly disappear down inside my excited penis.I didn't have to apply any pressure, it was just amazing at how easily it slid down, all but about an inch. I have enjoyed it five days in a row, and look forward to using a penis plug. I ordered two cum through plugs and am waiting for them to be delivered, They will be used immediately upon arrival. Tonight I'll try the 8 mm Hegar sound, or maybe I'll try it now and tonight.

Great enjoyment for my 1st set of sounds. Watching them slide in is quite a rush. Smooth and comfortable. Just wish they were all marked as to size. 11/12mm sound is stamped but others are not. Presume all others either are size up or down in sequence. But not 100% sure.
